                 This is a performance-based ensemble/seminar on American
                 Roots Music, meaning that you are expected to have basic
                 knowledge of an instrument that falls within this tradition
                 in order to take this course. Instruments may include:
                 guitar, violin, banjo, mandolin, dulcimer, autoharp, string
