                 Above class Biology L112 Biological Mechanisms, will be
                 taught as a hybrid course.  About 75% of coursework will be
                 done online.  There will be one in-class session per week.
                 The in-class session, which is required, will be used
                 primarily for discussion and for collaborative, active, and
                 inquiry-based activities, and might also include short
                 quizzes or other assessments.  Three times during the
                 semester, the in-class session will be used for exams.  The
                 two-hour slot replaces the standard discussion section for a
                 lecture course; it is two hours rather than one to allow
                 programmatic flexibility.
