                 Above class is an on-line class although weekly assignments
                 will be due.  This class will cover the modern origins of the
                 sustainability concept, global progress toward related goals,
                 and the relationship of metropolitan development practices to
                 local and global public health and environmental
                 sustainability.  Students will also learn about specific
                 urban planning and design techniques, tools, and policy
                 issues through readings, exercises and group work in an
                 on-line format.
