WE WILL CONSIDER THE GENETIC DIVERSITY OF NEW WORLD NATIVE AMERICANS AT THE TIME OF EUROPEAN CONTACT AND INVESTIGATE THE EMERGENCE AND EVOLUTION OF SELECTED INFECTIOUS DISEASES SUCH AS MEASLES, SMALLPOX, INFLUENZA, TUBERCULOSIS AND SYPHILIS.
